I not-so-recently (first session ever, over a year ago!) had the incredible opportunity to photograph someone truly special to me: my amazing sister! She's been my rock, my confidante, and the biggest cheerleader on my photography journey. So, to finally have her in front of my lens was an experience I'll cherish forever.
This wasn't just any photoshoot; it was a celebration of our bond, a tribute to her unwavering support, and a testament to how far I've come as a photographer. Get ready for a behind-the-scenes look at our session, filled with laughter and love.
Anybody and everybody who knows me well knows that I am anything but a social butterfly. Crowds, small talk, and putting myself out there? Yeah, no thank you! I've always been far more comfortable behind the camera than in front of it. Social anxiety and nerves have always been unwelcome companions for much of my life, making it challenging to connect with people the way I might desire to.
But with that said, my amazing sister has seen the best in me, even when I struggle to see it myself. As a constant source of encouragement, and, not-s0-gently nudging me outside of my comfort, she's helped me work towards being a better photographer even when I doubt myself.
Helping me choose the perfect location, Dubois Park in Jupiter, Florida is a place that holds a special place in both our hearts, having grown up together and spending much of our time here. During the entire session, she provided valuable input, making for a very meaningful and collaborative experience. More than a chance to create beautiful images, this photo shoot was an opportunity to celebrate my wonderful sister: a role model in this photography world, and then some. Of course, be sure to check out her work over at Casey Thomas Photography!
